ABOUT

Born and raised in Guadeloupe, in the French Caribbean, Virginie Lentulus, of French, Cuban and Indian heritage, entered the music scene in 2018 under the name GILONE.

Blending ambient dream pop with electronic textures and cinematic soundscapes, GILONE creates music that moves between intimacy and vastness. Her sound is immersive and organic, shaped by themes of memory, the ocean, vulnerability and transformation.

A self taught producer and sound designer, she writes, composes and produces her own work. Her debut EP, OCEAN CALL, released in December 2021, introduced an intimate and singular voice shaped by introspection and movement.

Also a visual artist, dancer and creative director, GILONE oversees the artistic direction of her music videos and develops multidisciplinary projects at the intersection of sound, image and performance.

Since 2022, she has composed vocals for films, including QUEEN OF THE SEA (2025, UK) and SEX IS COMEDY (2024,FR), and created performative soundtracks for art projects such as SEEKERS (2026), THE YEAR OF THE TIGER (2024) and ALPHA (2023).

Her second EP, LOVE IS THE MESSAGE, will be released in September 2026. The project is led by TIGHT, its first single, released in July 2026 with a cinematic music video distributed by Girls in Film.

LOVE IS THE MESSAGE explores love as a force of healing, resilience and human connection, through intimate storytelling, ambient textures and cinematic sound.
